Inspiration. Truth. Transformation.
This summer, we invite you to gather in community for FillmoreFlix, a 3-part documentary series curated to uplift the spirit and spark meaningful conversation.
Over three Sundays, we’ll explore powerful stories centered on joy, justice, earth care, and hope—each film offering a window into the lives, movements, and wisdom shaping our world. Whether you’re watching at home or joining us in person, these films will nourish your mind and soul.
📽️ Week 1 – July 20
Mission: Joy – Finding Happiness in Troubled Times
What happens when two of the world’s most beloved spiritual leaders—His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu—sit down for a week of deep conversation, laughter, and reflection on joy? Mission: Joy is a heart-expanding documentary that reminds us that joy is an inside job—especially in times of struggle.
🌱 Week 2 – July 27
Common Ground
From the makers of Kiss the Ground, this award-winning documentary explores the growing movement of regenerative farmers—Black, white, and Indigenous—working to heal the planet and reclaim our connection to the Earth. Featuring stories from activists and celebrities alike, Common Ground is a rallying cry for a better future through soil, stewardship, and solidarity.
✊🏽 Week 3 – August 3
Dolores: Rebel, Activist, Feminist, Mother
Meet Dolores Huerta: mother of 11, labor leader, civil rights icon—and as it happens, Rev. Jacquie’s great aunt. This stirring documentary follows Dolores’s life as a co-founder of the United Farm Workers and one of the most defiant feminists of the 20th century. At age 95, she’s still fighting for justice. Her story is fierce, moving, and deeply personal to our Unity community.
