At the Nov 3rd Community Problems Assembly, popular vote selected eldercare as the next issue of research and advocacy!
We were pleased to see so many NEW FACES at the Nov 18th Research Kickoff and feel renewed enthusiasm as our organization expands its reach.
Below: Members of the network gathered at Atonement Lutheran to learn about the issue committee work and how we arrive at well-researched solutions to our community’s most pressing problems!
Feel like you missed the memo?
Joining a committee isn’t expected or required, but it is FUN! And it’s a great way to get involved and stay connected between the 4 annual assemblies. You don’t need to be a scholar or an expert – we learn together. Since you pick and choose which meetings you want to attend, it can be as much or as little of a time commitment as you like.
If you didn’t join an email list on Nov 3rd or Nov 18th, you can still join by visiting this link. Indicate which committee (eldercare, homelessness, affordable housing, or mental health) you’d like to join, and you’ll start getting weekly emails with the upcoming schedule of meetings!
Above: Nov 25 – Members of the GFN Executive Board and Steering Committees met with staffers from the office of U.S. House Representative Sharice Davids, who wanted to learn more about the work of the Good Faith Network. We hope that this initial conversation opens more doors for collaboration and the convening of a broader conversation about housing and homelessness in our community.
Nov 22nd – Several members of our Affordable Housing and Homelessness Committees attended the annual Public Policy Forum put on by United Community Services. This event always provides a treasure trove of statistics and expert viewpoints. This year’s focus was housing and economic development, with a keynote address from the Asst. Secretary of Quality Places at the KS Dept of Commerce.

Join us by doing justice in 2025!
This year, we are growing our organization by cultivating consistency in our networks. Here’s the truth: a reliable network is a powerful network.
We look forward to seeing you at your congregation’s network meeting in January or February! |
