Nov 18th: Campaign Kick-Off!

Two weeks ago, our committees gathered to kick-off this year’s work on our ongoing campaigns for eldercare and housing & homelessness! We heard powerful testimony about how direct action is the most effective way for constituents to impact their local governments.

FYI: December 16th @ 6 PM is our first monthly, all-committee meeting. This is a great Zoom meeting to hear recaps and simply keep a finger on the pulse of the committees! (To receive the Zoom link, make sure you’re on one of the committee email lists.)
Housing in the News
November saw a number of local housing stories in the newspapers!
In the Johnson County Post, a Good Faith Network family was featured prominently. One reason that Renee Loya, GFN Team Leader at Salem Lutheran Church, does justice is because safe and affordable housing for her son, daughter-in-law, and grandbaby is directly on the line.
(Above) November 12-13:Good Faith Network leaders from 10 congregations travelled to a training conference in Lincoln, NE to hone their community organizing skills to build people power back at home!
