2025 Celebration!
Our annual Celebration was June 29th – and what fun we had!
Imam Mohammed Herbert opened us with scripture and prayer from the Quran. Then we heard issue updates from our committee leadership and a heartfelt testimonial from Linda Seiner, who told us how Good Faith Network was a literal answer to her prayers!
We awarded Rev. Cheryl Jefferson Bell for her steadfast leadership as co-President of the Good Faith Network, as well as a number of congregations with incredible turnout to the Nehemiah Action this year:
- Salem Lutheran (105% of goal)
- Atonement Lutheran (108% of goal AND top turnout overall with 196 people!)
- St. Mark’s UMC (116% of goal)
- Congregation Beth Shalom (125% of goal)
- Grace UMC (128% of goal)
- Islamic Center of Johnson County (128% of goal)
- Colonial Church of Prairie Village (133% of goal)
- Congregation Beth Torah (143% of goal)
We enjoyed great food and entertaining GFN-trivia brought everyone a good, hearty laugh! If you missed out, we sure hope to have you next year.
In this year’s investment drive, our goal is to increase the number of hands holding this work!
What would it look like if 370 people were to pitch in at least $200 each and claim communal stewardship of this organization?

Why do we say “invest”?
We want to be member-owned and member-sustained.
We’re used to one way of thinking about donating directly to a cause: but it’s upside down.
Philanthropy is great because people of means can give to direct services that make a difference.
But organizing and training large numbers of people to effectively leverage their power bypasses the greatest weakness of philanthropy: its concentration on the interests of the few. People know what their community needs, and united, they have the power to accomplish it!
An investment into the Good Faith Network is an investment into the people of Johnson County for long-term, permanent change.
At the Celebration, we also premiered a video from this year’s Nehemiah Action!
