Unity Church of Overland Park is proud to share that Rev. Eileen has been honored with the Maria Campbell Clergy Leadership Award from the Good Faith Network in recognition of her outstanding leadership, dedication, and service.

The Good Faith Network brings together congregations and community organizations from across Johnson County to address issues affecting the well-being of our neighbors through collaborative action. Rev. Eileen has been a passionate advocate within the Network, helping to build relationships, amplify community voices, and advance the work of justice rooted in faith.

As Co-Vice President of Good Faith Network, a member of its Executive Board and Finance Committee, and co-chair of the Eldercare Committee, Rev. Eileen has played an integral role in guiding the organization’s mission and initiatives. Her leadership has helped strengthen efforts to ensure that older adults in Johnson County can age with dignity, safety, and support.

Over the past year, Rev. Eileen has testified before the Kansas Legislature, attended city council and county commissioner meetings to advocate for Good Faith Network’s Housing Justice initiative, and served as a spokesperson to the media on behalf of the organization. She also worked to advance the Eldercare CAPABLE campaign by advocating for stronger community partnerships and encouraging meaningful action from key stakeholders.

Within our own congregation, Rev. Eileen has inspired deeper engagement with the Good Faith Network by fostering a culture of relationship-building and community involvement. She helped establish a year-round Good Faith Network information table at UCOP, introduced educational opportunities to help members better understand the Network’s work, and regularly shared from the pulpit about the importance of organizing for justice through faith. Her leadership helped make this year’s Nehemiah Action Unity Church of Overland Park’s strongest turnout yet.

This recognition reflects not only Rev. Eileen’s commitment to service, but also the spirit of our congregation. At UCOP, we believe spirituality calls us beyond the walls of our church and into meaningful engagement with our community. Through the Good Faith Network, we have found powerful ways to live our mission of transforming lives and empowering people to make a difference in the world.

We are grateful for Rev. Eileen’s leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to creating positive change. Please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved honor!

Congratulations, Rev. Eileen, and thank you for representing UCOP with such grace, integrity, and heart.
